Summary
Requires Higher Education Coordinating Commission to establish grant program for purpose of supporting organizations to expand scope and community outreach of college access and success programs. Requires Higher Education Coordinating Commission to conduct study to determine best method for connecting public higher education to workforce and economic development needs of Oregon. Directs commission to submit findings to interim committees of Legislative Assembly related to higher education not later than September 15, 2024.] Requires Higher Education Coordinating Commission to establish grant program for purpose of supporting organizations to expand scope and community outreach of college access and success programs. Details eligibility criteria to receive grant and factors commission must consider when awarding grants. Appropriates moneys from General Fund to commission for purpose of administering grant program. Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2023.
