Summary

Directs President of Senate and Speaker of House of Representatives to appoint work group to develop framework for multi-sector plan for aging to be administered by Department of Human Services. Requires Department of Human Services to study programs and services administered by aging and disability services division of department. Directs department to submit findings to interim committees of Legislative Assembly related to human services not later than September 15, 2024.] Sunsets January 2, 2025.] Directs President of Senate and Speaker of House of Representatives to appoint work group to develop framework for multi-sector plan for aging to be administered by Department of Human Services. Specifies membership and duties. Requires work group to submit three reports to committees and interim committees of Legislative Assembly related to human services, by December 1, 2023, during 2024 regular session of Legislative Assembly and by July 1, 2024, respectively. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
