| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Eric Vendel for his loyal service to the Ohio Legislative Service Commission; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout fifteen years of distinguished service with the Ohio Legislative Service Commission, Eric Vendel has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties and fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Joining the agency as a staff attorney with the LSC judiciary group in 1997, he transferred to the group dealing with the environment and natural resources less than a year later and began staffing the Senate committee addressing those topics. During his tenure, he has worked on legislation dealing with such issues as Clean Ohio, construction and demolition debris, and oil and gas drilling, and he has been very responsive to questions and requests for research from members' offices, becoming known for his patience and attention to detail; and |
| WHEREAS, Eric Vendel is a remarkable individual, combining civic concern with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in the State of Ohio. Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, he has given generously of his time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected and has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society; and |
| WHEREAS, The enthusiasm and expertise Eric Vendel has shown in his endeavors have earned him the respect and appreciation of all those with whom he has worked. Indeed, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has provided a valuable service to the state and has established a record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Eric Vendel on his years of service and extend best wishes for success in his new post with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas Resources; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Eric Vendel. |
