Honoring Richard H. Bloedel on his retirement from the Ohio Legislative Service Commission. |
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Richard H. Bloedel on the memorable occasion of his retirement from the Ohio Legislative Service Commission; and |
WHEREAS, During thirty-nine years of distinguished service with the Ohio Legislative Service Commission, Richard Bloedel has combined civic concern and dedication with selfless initiative in all his endeavors. Joining the agency in 1973, he has served in such roles as a senior research associate, principal research associate, and supervisor of the Transportation Research Group, and he also staffed the Senate Finance Committee and conducted new staff training for LSC. With a bachelor of arts degree in political science, master of arts and doctorate degrees in history, and a certificate in Chinese, he was a lover of history and of travel, often regaling his coworkers with stories of his journeys around the world, and he was also a certified public accountant and the author of a book, History of the Ohio Legislative Service Commission through 2007; and |
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Richard Bloedel has applied his creative and insightful mind to his challenging work, and in so doing, has proven to be an invaluable asset to the Ohio General Assembly. His unyielding pursuit of excellence has exemplified the potential of each person to have a positive influence on the quality of life in our society. By bringing his many talents and experience to bear upon the ever-changing needs of the Ohio General Assembly, he has set an example worthy of emulation, and he is truly deserving of high praise; and |
WHEREAS, Through his love for Ohio and his sincere desire to serve its people to the best of his ability, Richard Bloedel has proven himself to be a concerned and responsible public servant while remaining modest and unassuming about his many accomplishments. It is through the unsurpassed efforts and deep commitment of conscientious people such as he that our state can hope to grow and prosper; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Richard H. Bloedel on his retirement and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Richard H. Bloedel. |
