Honoring Natalie Hershberger as a Junior Olympic Champion in tae kwon do. |
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Natalie Hershberger on winning the Junior Olympic Championship in tae kwon do in the 8- and 9-year old division; and |
WHEREAS, A third-grade student at Discovery School, Natalie Hershberger has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in tae kwon do, and as a result, she won the Junior Olympic Championship in the 8- and 9-year old division and was named to the Cadet Junior Team; and |
WHEREAS, Natalie Hershberger's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on her but also on her family, her instructor and father, Chris Hershberger, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Natalie Hershberger on her exemplary success. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in tae kwon do will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Natalie Hershberger on her recent achievement and salute her as an outstanding citizen; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Natalie Hershberger. |
