WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Nilyshia Johnson on being selected as the twelfth-grade winner of the 2012 Heinz Ketchup Creativity Contest; and |
WHEREAS, A senior at Chaney High School and Choffin Career and Technical Center, Nilyshia Johnson has worked diligently to develop her abilities, and as a result, she won the twelfth-grade category of this year's Heinz Ketchup Creativity Contest. Her entry reflects her exceptional artistic aptitude as well as her creativity and imagination, and it will be featured on ketchup packets distributed to schools across the country during the 2012-2013 academic year. An intelligent and motivated young woman, she has certainly used her talents in a worthwhile endeavor; and |
WHEREAS, Displaying discipline, perseverance, and resolve, Nilyshia Johnson has identified herself as a conscientious and hard-working student. The knowledge and self-confidence she has gained through her participation in events such as the Heinz Ketchup Creativity Contest will no doubt be of great benefit to her throughout her lifetime; and |
WHEREAS, Nilyshia Johnson's accomplishment is a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teachers, her schools, and her community. She has exhibited a sincere desire to fully develop her knowledge and skills so that she might fulfill her goals in the future, and this, coupled with her maturity and initiative, shows her potential to become one of tomorrow's leaders; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 129th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Nilyshia Johnson for outstanding achievement and salute her as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Nilyshia Johnson. |
