WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Mark Hadley on placing first at the 2013 Division I State Boys Cross Country Championship; and |
WHEREAS, This accomplishment is truly noteworthy, for Mark Hadley has clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well as his mental and physical fortitude as a long distance runner. As this year's Division I State Champion, he finished the race with a time of 15:10.63, and he has exemplified the courage, determination, and innate sense of the principles of good sportsmanship that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world; and |
WHEREAS, In displaying such exceptional prowess as a senior member of the Boardman High School cross country team, Mark Hadley has earned the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even his most determined rivals. Competition in athletics has enabled him to learn much about dedication and self-discipline, and we take this opportunity to acknowledge his exceptional record of achievement; and |
WHEREAS, Long distance running is an event that requires exceptional stamina and natural ability, and Mark Hadley is to be commended for his commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining his athletic goals, he has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are the hallmarks of a true champion; therefore be it |
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to Mark Hadley on winning the 2013 Division I State boys cross country individual championship and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further |
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Mark Hadley. |
