| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Notre Dame College wrestling team on winning the 2014 National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, Each member of the Notre Dame College wrestling team is an outstanding athlete, combining personal ability and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship. With admirable dedication, the Falcons have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in wrestling, and as a result, they won this year's National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II Championship title; and |
| WHEREAS, Known as a driven and determined team, the Falcons have developed into a remarkably efficient group of athletes whose skill on the wrestling mat is equaled only by their exemplary display of teamwork and sportsmanship. They are a credit to their families and their school and to the superb coaching of their mentor, Frank Romano; and |
| WHEREAS, The Falcons' accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the students, their families, their school, their community, and their coach. The success of any athletic endeavor depends largely on the ability of the coach to provide both guidance and inspiration, and in leading his team to victory, Coach Frank Romano has not only helped each athlete to develop his talents to the fullest but also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Notre Dame College wrestling team on an exemplary season and salute the members and coach as fine citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Notre Dame College wrestling team. |
