| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Delta High School wrestling team on its tremendous success during the 2013-2014 season; and |
| WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of Coach Anthony Carrizales, the Delta High School wrestling team has proven to be a talented and superbly conditioned squad and has gained the respect of fans and opponents alike for the spirited and highly motivated performance of its members. Throughout the season, each wrestler worked diligently to improve his skills on the mat, and as a result, the Panthers accomplished their goals, winning this year's Northwest Ohio Athletic League and Division III Sectional, District, and State Dual and Team championship titles; and |
| WHEREAS, Known as a driven and determined team, the Panthers have developed into a remarkably efficient group of athletes whose prowess is equaled only by their exemplary display of teamwork and sportsmanship. They are a credit to their families and their school and to the superb coaching of their mentor, Anthony Carrizales; and |
| WHEREAS, The road to victory and a championship title is a difficult one, requiring ability, endurance, teamwork, and a positive attitude on the part of athletes and coaches alike. The Panthers have exemplified the characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of competition, including courage, discipline, integrity, and good sportsmanship, and their efforts have earned them the admiration of all those who have witnessed these outstanding competitors in action; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Delta High School wrestling team as the 2014 Division III State Dual and Team Champion and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Delta High School wrestling team. |
