| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend Rachel Johnstone on winning first place in the senior division of the 2013 Flute Fest Competition, sponsored by the Central Ohio Flute Association; and |
| WHEREAS, An intelligent and motivated young woman, Rachel Johnstone has distinguished herself as a remarkable individual through her musical prowess. Her exceptional abilities as a flutist, developed through years of hard work, have brought enjoyment to numerous listeners, and she has the unique distinction of appealing to a diverse audience, which is attributable not only to her tremendous ability but also to her genuine dedication and commitment; and |
| WHEREAS, Rachel Johnstone can be justifiably proud of her success, as it is evidence of her sincere desire to develop her gifts fully so that she might fulfill her future goals. With her talent and initiative, she has no doubt gained a knowledge of music that will continue to benefit her throughout her lifetime; and |
| WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors as a member of the Cleveland Institute of Music Sato Suzuki Outreach Group, the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony, and the Hudson High School wind symphony, chamber orchestra, and marching band, Rachel Johnstone has demonstrated her potential to be one of tomorrow's leaders. We are certain that her strength of character, combined with the support of a loving family and friends, will bring her a future filled with happiness and fulfillment; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to Rachel Johnstone on her personal success and salute her as an exemplary young Ohioan; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Rachel Johnstone. |
