A BILL
To enact section 5.075 of the Revised Code to adopt 1
the Adena Pipe as the official artifact of the 2
state.3


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1. That section 5.075 of the Revised Code be enacted 4
to read as follows:5

       Sec. 5.075. The artifact known as the Adena pipe, which is a 6
prehistoric effigy pipe that was discovered in 1901 by William C. 7
Mills within a burial mound near Chillicothe and that was created 8
by the ancient Adena culture from native Ohio pipestone, is 9
adopted as the official state artifact.10
