        Introduced  by  Sen.  BAILEY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern-
          ment Operations

        AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to prohibiting denial  of
          entry  to  a  public place or denial of service solely on the basis of
          wearing a mask in public during an epidemic or a pandemic

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Subdivision  1  of  section  296  of the executive law is
     2  amended by adding a new paragraph (i) to read as follows:
     3    (i) For  any  person,  agency,  bureau,  corporation  or  association,
     4  including  the  state  and  any political subdivision thereof, to deny a
     5  person entry to a public place or deny a person service  solely  on  the
     6  basis  of  wearing  a  mask  in  public  during a state emergency for an
     7  epidemic or a pandemic.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
