        Introduced  by  Sen. HASSELL-THOMPSON -- read twice and ordered printed,
          and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government
        AN ACT authorizing the commissioner of  general  services  to  sell  and
          convey  certain  land  located  in  the city of New York to Montefiore
          Medical Center
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  The  commissioner  of  general services is authorized and
     2  empowered to sell and convey state property,  as  further  described  in
     3  section  two of this act for fair market value to the Montefiore Medical
     4  Center, a not-for-profit hospital licensed pursuant to article 28 of the
     5  public health law, whose medical campus is immediately adjacent  to  the
     6  aforementioned  state  property  operated  by the office of children and
     7  family services, said sale and conveyance shall be made upon such  terms
     8  and conditions as he or she may fix and determine.
     9    §  2. The lands authorized by this act to be conveyed are more partic-
    10  ularly described as follows: All that certain plot, piece or  parcel  of
    11  land, known as 170 East 210th Street with the buildings and improvements
    12  thereon erected, situate, lying and being in the city of New York, coun-
    13  ty  of Bronx and state of New York, designated as block 3343, lot 326 on
    14  a tax map of the city of New York and being  more  particularly  bounded
    15  and  described as follows: on the southerly side of East 210th Street, 0
    16  feet easterly from the intersection of the southerly side of East  210th
    17  Street  and easterly side of Bainbridge Avenue; running thence along the
    18  southerly side of East 210th Street easterly 150 feet; thence  southerly
    19  along  a  line  parallel  to  the easterly side of Bainbridge Avenue 100
    20  feet; thence westerly along a line parallel to  the  southerly  side  of
    21  East 210th Street 150 feet; thence along the easterly side of Bainbridge
    22  Avenue 100 feet to the point of place of beginning.
    23    §  3.  The  description  in section two of this act of the lands to be
    24  conveyed is not intended to be a legal description, but is intended only
    25  to identify the premises to be conveyed. As a condition of purchase  the
    26  Montefiore  Medical  Center  shall submit to the commissioner of general
    27  services for his or her approval an accurate survey and  description  of

     1  the  lands  generally described in section two of this act, which may be
     2  used in the conveyance thereof.
     3    §  4.  The  commissioner  of general services shall not grant the land
     4  described in section two of this act unless application is made therefor
     5  by the Montefiore Medical Center within two years  after  the  effective
     6  date of this act.
     7    § 5. This act shall take effect immediately.
