        Introduced  by  Sen. SANDERS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules

        AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the  city  of  New  York,  in
          relation  to establishing certain requirements for district leadership
          teams and school leadership teams

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Title  21-A of the administrative code of the city of New
     2  York is amended by adding a new chapter 23-A to read as follows:
     3                                CHAPTER 23-A
     4                              LEADERSHIP TEAMS
     5    § 21-990.1 Student leadership. a. Each district  leadership  team  and
     6  school leadership team shall appoint one student representative to serve
     7  as members of such teams.
     8    b.  Student  representatives  appointed  to a district leadership team
     9  shall be high school student representatives and shall be  appointed  by
    10  the community superintendent.
    11    c.  Student representatives appointed to school leadership teams shall
    12  be student representatives and shall be appointed by the chairperson  or
    13  co-chairpersons of such team.
    14    §  2.  This  act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall
    15  have become a law. Effective immediately, the addition, amendment and/or
    16  repeal of any rule or regulation necessary  for  the  implementation  of
    17  this  act  on its effective date are authorized to be made and completed
    18  on or before such effective date.
