Bill Title: Authorizes the triborough bridge and tunnel authority, its licensees and contractors to have certain powers to erect, install, repair, reconstruct, maintain, operate or paint outdoor advertising signs or devices, including electronic displays, on or about its bridges, tunnels, projects, structures, facilities and other properties, including approaches.

       Introduced by Sen. FUSCHILLO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
       AN  ACT  to amend the public authorities law, in relation to the Tribor-
         ough bridge and tunnel authority
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Section 569-b of the public authorities law is amended by
    2  adding a new subdivision 5 to read as follows:
    3    5. NOTWITHSTANDING SUBDIVISION ONE OF THIS SECTION OR ANY  OTHER  LAW,
    4  GENERAL, SPECIAL OR LOCAL, THE AUTHORITY, AND ITS LICENSEES AND CONTRAC-
    5  TORS, SHALL HAVE THE POWER TO ERECT, INSTALL, REPAIR, RECONSTRUCT, MAIN-
    6  TAIN,  OPERATE  OR PAINT OUTDOOR ADVERTISING SIGNS OR DEVICES, INCLUDING
    7  ELECTRONIC DISPLAYS, ON OR ABOUT ITS BRIDGES, TUNNELS, PROJECTS,  STRUC-
    8  TURES, FACILITIES AND OTHER PROPERTIES, INCLUDING APPROACHES.
    9    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
