AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to hours for voting
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1 Section 1. The opening paragraph of subdivision 2 of section 8-100 of
2 the election law is designated paragraph (a) and a new paragraph (b) is
3 added to read as follows:
4 (B) NOTWITHSTANDING PARAGRAPH (A) OF THIS SUBDIVISION, IF A SPECIAL
5 ELECTION IS HELD ON THE SAME DATE AS A PRIMARY ELECTION, ANY POLL
6 LOCATED WITHIN THE POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION SHALL
7 BE OPEN FROM SIX O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING UNTIL NINE O'CLOCK AT NIGHT FOR
8 ALL VOTING, REGARDLESS IF IT IS FOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION OR THE SPECIAL
9 ELECTION.
10 S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
