          when printed to be committed to the Committee on Health
        AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to the  Kings  county
          health care facility transformation program
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Subdivision 5 of section 2825-a of the public health law is
     2  renumbered subdivision 6 and a new subdivision 5 is  added  to  read  as
     3  follows:
     4    5.  (a) The agreement entered into pursuant to subdivision two of this
     5  section shall include:
     6    (i) a schedule or timetable for the issuance of the request for appli-
     7  cations, the receipt of applications and the awarding of the grants;
     8    (ii) a description of the process or procedures  for  determining  the
     9  amounts to be awarded to each applicant; and
    10    (iii)  a  description  of how the grants will be distributed, adminis-
    11  tered and monitored.
    12    (b) Within thirty days after the deadline for the receipt of  applica-
    13  tions,  the  commissioner  shall make available to the public, including
    14  posting on the official website of the department and of  the  dormitory
    15  authority  of the state of New York, a copy of all applications received
    16  and the amount of the grant requested by, or  to  be  awarded  to,  each
    17  applicant. The commissioner and the president of the dormitory authority
    18  of  the  state  of New York shall conduct at least one public hearing in
    19  the county of Kings at least sixty days prior to the date of award.
    20    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
