The division of military and naval affairs shall estab- 2 lish policies to ensure the security and protection of New York national 3 guard recruiting centers from terrorist attacks. 4 2. The division shall: 5 a. provide sidearms or issue permits to carry a concealed firearm to 6 full-time New York national guard personnel employed at recruiting 7 centers; 8 b. improve and strengthen building security through the installation 9 of metal detectors, bulletproof glass, video surveillance equipment and 10 barricades to limit vehicle access at national guard recruiting centers 11 and at Reserve Officer Training Corps facilities; 12 c. relocate recruiting centers to armories or other secure locations; 13 and 14 d. take additional measures deemed necessary by the division to 15 protect employees, recruits, visitors and any other individuals at New 16 York national guard recruiting centers and Reserve Officer Training 17 Corps facilities.
