        Introduced  by  Sen.  BROOKS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Cultural Affairs, Tourism,
          Parks and Recreation
        AN ACT to amend the navigation law, in  relation  to  requiring  working
          carbon monoxide detectors to be carried on closed bow boats
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Section 40 of the navigation law is amended by adding a new
     2  subsection 9-a to read as follows:
     3    9-a. Carbon monoxide detectors. All vessels with a  closed  bow  shall
     4  carry a working carbon monoxide detector on board.
     5    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
