       AN ACT to  authorize  the  commissioner  of  education  to  disregard  a
         reduction  in  the  apportionment  of  public  money to the Clarkstown
         central school district
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Notwithstanding the fact that the Clarkstown central school
    2  district  was  only  in session for one hundred seventy-nine days in the
    3  2012-2013 school year, the commissioner of education  is  authorized  to
    4  disregard  the  reduction of state aid required pursuant to section 3604
    5  of the education law and shall pay such school district  its  apportion-
    6  ment  as if the school district had been in session for the required one
    7  hundred eighty days.
    8    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
