AN ACT to prohibit the sale, dispensing, provision and cultivation of
marihuana for any purpose
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1 Section 1. Short title. This act shall be known and may be cited as
2 the "illegal narcotics dispensary ban".
3 S 2. Notwithstanding any other provision of law specifically or gener-
4 ally authorizing such activities, no person shall sell, dispense, give
5 away, provide or cultivate any quantity of marihuana, regardless of the
6 purpose of such sale, dispensing, provision or cultivation, nor shall
7 any person operate a dispensary of marihuana. Every act committed in
8 violation of this act shall be subject to the provisions of article 221
9 of the penal law as such article existed on January 1, 2014.
10 S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
