       Introduced  by  Sen.  FUNKE  -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation
       AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to hunt-
         ing safety instructors
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Section  11-0715 of the environmental conservation law is
    2  amended by adding a new subdivision 2-a to read as follows:
    3    2-A. A RESIDENT OF THE STATE WHO HAS BEEN AN INSTRUCTOR OF  A  HUNTING
    4  SAFETY  COURSE APPROVED BY THE COMMISSIONER AND WHO HAS COMPLETED HIS OR
    5  HER INSTRUCTION RELATIVE TO SUCH COURSE SHALL BE ENTITLED TO  RECEIVE  A
    6  HUNTING LICENSE FREE OF CHARGE FOR THE NEXT LICENSE YEAR BEGINNING AFTER
    7  THE DATE WHEN SUCH COURSE OF INSTRUCTION WAS COMPLETED.
    8    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
