       AN ACT to amend the education  law,  in  relation  to  public  librarian
         certificate fee
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 279 of the education law, as amended by chapter 458
    2  of the laws of 1959, is amended to read as follows:
    3    S 279. Fees. 1. A fee of [five] FIFTY dollars shall be paid  for  each
    4  public  librarian's  certificate  [or  school  librarian's  certificate]
    5  issued under THIS part [two of this article] AS DEFINED  IN  REGULATIONS
    6  PROMULGATED BY THE COMMISSIONER.
    7    2. A FEE OF SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS SHALL BE PAID FOR EACH PUBLIC LIBRAR-
    8  IAN'S  CONDITIONAL  OR  TEMPORARY  CERTIFICATE ISSUED UNDER THIS PART AS
    9  DEFINED IN REGULATIONS PROMULGATED BY THE COMMISSIONER.
   10    S 2. This act shall take effect January 1, 2010.
