GAUGHRAN, COMRIE, STAVISKY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Educa- tion -- recommitted to the Committee on Education in accordance with Senate Rule 6, sec. 8 -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to the additional appor- tionment of building aid for certain projects The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subparagraph 1 of paragraph b of subdivision 6-f of section 2 3602 of the education law, as added by section 19 of part H of chapter 3 83 of the laws of 2002, is amended to read as follows: 4 (1) has a total project cost of [one hundred] two hundred fifty thou- 5 sand dollars or less[; provided however, that for any district, no more6than one project shall be eligible pursuant to this subparagraph for an7apportionment within the same school year] modified by an annual county 8 or multi-county labor market composite wage rate, established by the 9 commissioner of labor in consultation with the commissioner, for July 10 first of the base year, indexed to the median of such county or 11 multi-county rates, but not less than one, up to a maximum of five 12 hundred thousand dollars, as determined by the building aid regional 13 cost factor; and provided further a school district may combine up to 14 five years of project allowances pursuant to this subparagraph and apply 15 to the commissioner for project approval for the entire apportionment 16 and such apportionment may be used for one or more projects; and/or 17 § 2.
