ADDABBO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Veterans, Homeland Securi- ty and Military Affairs -- recommitted to the Committee on Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs in accordance with Senate Rule 6, sec. 8 -- reported favorably from said committee and committed to the Committee on Finance -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend the tax law, in relation to exempting certain veterans service organizations from taxes on the sales of beer, wine and soda The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision (a) of section 1115 of the tax law is amended 2 by adding a new paragraph 1-a to read as follows: 3 (1-a) Beer, wine and soda purchased or sold by veterans service organ- 4 izations. For the purposes of this paragraph, the term "veterans service 5 organizations" shall mean veterans service organizations chartered by 6 the United States Congress pursuant to 38 USC 5902. 7 § 2.
