BORRELLO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Investigations and Govern- ment Operations -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT in relation to granting on-premises alcohol retailers an exten- sion of one year to renew their expired liquor license without any late fees during the COVID-19 state disaster emergency The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, 2 if an on-premises alcohol retailer has experienced a renewal date for 3 their New York state liquor license between the date a state disaster 4 emergency was declared by the governor pursuant to executive order 202 5 and April 1, 2021, such retailer shall receive an extension of one year 6 from the time such liquor license has expired to renew such license, and 7 no late fees shall be charged for such extension. 8 § 2.
