         printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation
       AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
         allowing the use of rifles for hunting in Cortland county
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907
    2  of the environmental conservation law, as amended by section 11 of chap-
    3  ter 483 of the laws of 2010, is amended to read as follows:
    4    (i) The counties of     Deer, the first Monday  Pistol, shotgun,
    5    Allegany,               after November 15       crossbow,
    6    Cattaraugus, Chemung,   through first Tuesday   muzzle loading
    7    Chenango, CORTLAND,     after December 7        firearm, rifle or
    8    Herkimer, Madison,                              long bow only
    9    Montgomery, Oneida,
   10    Oswego, Otsego,
   11    Schoharie, Schuyler,
   12    Steuben,
   13    Tioga and Yates
   14    and that portion of
   15    the county of
   16    Broome east of the
   17    Susquehanna river
   18    S 2. Item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of  section  11-0907  of
   19  the  environmental conservation law, as amended by section 12 of chapter
   20  483 of the laws of 2010, is amended to read as follows:
   21  (i) The counties of       Deer and bear, the      Pistol, shotgun,
   22    Allegany,               first Monday after      crossbow,
   23    Cattaraugus,            November 15 through     muzzle loading
   24    Chenango, CORTLAND,     first Tuesday after     firearm, rifle or
   25    Herkimer, Montgomery,   December 7              long bow only
        EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
                             [ ] is old law to be omitted.

    8    S  3.  Item  (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of
    9  the environmental conservation law, as added by section 2 of chapter 600
   10  of the laws of 2005, is amended to read as follows:
   11  (i) The counties of       Deer and bear, the      Pistol, shotgun,
   12    Allegany,               first Monday after      muzzle loading
   13    Cattaraugus, Chenango,  November 15 through     firearm, rifle or
   14    CORTLAND, Herkimer,     first Tuesday after     long bow only
   15    Montgomery, Oneida,     December 7
   16    Oswego, Otsego,
   17    Schoharie and Tioga
   18    and that portion of
   19    the county of
   20    Broome east of the
   21    Susquehanna river
   22    S 4. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that the  amend-
   23  ments  to item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of
   24  the environmental conservation law made by section one of this act shall
   25  be subject to the expiration and reversion of such paragraph pursuant to
   26  section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993,  as  amended,  when  upon
   27  such  date  the provisions of section two of this act shall take effect;
   28  provided further that the amendments to  item  (i)  of  paragraph  a  of
   29  subdivision  2  of section 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law
   30  made by section two of this act shall be subject to the  expiration  and
   31  reversion of such paragraph pursuant to section 17 of chapter 483 of the
   32  laws  of 2010, as amended, when upon such date the provisions of section
   33  three of this act shall take effect.
