STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 1311 2017-2018 Regular Sessions IN SENATE January 9, 2017 ___________ Introduced by Sen. MARCELLINO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT relating to legalizing, validating, ratifying and confirming a transportation contract of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken 2 or caused to be had and taken by the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central 3 School District and by all officers, employees or agents of such school 4 district relating to or in connection with a transportation contract 5 E612569A of the 2014-2015 school year, and all acts incidental hereto 6 are hereby legalized, validated, ratified and confirmed, notwithstanding 7 any failure to comply with the contract award, approval and filing 8 provisions of the education law, the general municipal law or any other 9 law or any other statutory authority, rule or regulation, other than 10 those filing provisions defined in paragraph a of subdivision 5 of 11 section 3604 of the education law, in relation to any omission, error, 12 defect, irregularity or illegality in such proceeding had and taken. 13 § 2. The department of education is hereby directed to consider the 14 aforementioned contract for transportation aid as valid and proper obli- 15 gations of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District. 16 § 3.
