       Introduced by M. of A. CASTELLI -- read once and referred to the Commit-
         tee  on Codes -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted
         as amended and recommitted to said committee
       AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law,  in  relation  to  including
         certain  employees  of  the  town  and  village of Harrison within the
         designation of peace officer
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Section  2.10 of the criminal procedure law is amended by
    2  adding a new subdivision 83 to read as follows:
    3    83. EMPLOYEES OF THE TOWN OR VILLAGE  OF  HARRISON  SERVING  AS  COURT
    4  ATTENDANTS  IN  THE COURTS OF THE TOWN OR VILLAGE OF HARRISON; PROVIDED,
    5  HOWEVER, THAT NOTHING IN THIS SUBDIVISION SHALL BE DEEMED  TO  AUTHORIZE
    6  SUCH  OFFICER  TO  CARRY, POSSESS, REPAIR OR DISPOSE OF A FIREARM UNLESS
    7  THE APPROPRIATE LICENSE THEREFOR HAS BEEN  ISSUED  PURSUANT  TO  SECTION
    8  400.00 OF THE PENAL LAW.
    9    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
