STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 10467 IN ASSEMBLY May 22, 2020 ___________ Introduced by COMMITTEE ON RULES -- (at request of M. of A. Fernandez) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation to preventing temporary questioning of person solely because such person is wearing a mask during a state emergency for an epidemic or pandemic The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 140.50 of the criminal procedure law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 5 to read as follows: 3 5. No person shall be subject to temporary questioning solely because 4 such person is wearing a mask during a state emergency for an epidemic 5 or pandemic. 6 § 2.
