Section 1263 of the public authorities law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 10 to read as follows: 3 10. THE AUTHORITY SHALL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING IN EACH COUNTY THAT IS 4 ALLOCATED A VOTING MEMBER OF THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY 5 UNDER THIS SECTION, AND THAT IS AFFECTED BY THE PROPOSED CHANGES IN 6 SERVICES AND FARES, BEFORE ANY PROPOSED CHANGES IN SERVICES OR FARES CAN 7 TAKE EFFECT; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS SHALL BE 8 LIMITED TO ONE HEARING PER CALENDAR DAY. 9 S 2.
