        AN ACT to amend chapter 397 of the laws of 1996, relating to authorizing
          the town of Islip to lease certain lands to a business corporation, in
          relation to the lease term

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Section 1 of chapter 397 of the laws of 1996,  relating  to
     2  authorizing  the  town  of  Islip  to  lease certain lands to a business
     3  corporation, is amended by adding a new subdivision  (a-1)  to  read  as
     4  follows:
     5    (a-1)  The  town of Islip, in the county of Suffolk, is hereby author-
     6  ized and empowered to extend the terms of a lease between the town and a
     7  business corporation dated July 30, 1996 that was authorized by  chapter
     8  397  of  the  laws  of 1996 on the lands described in chapter 397 of the
     9  laws of 1996 for up to ten years in addition to the  ten-year  extension
    10  authorized under subdivision (a) of this section.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
