        Introduced by M. of A. D. ROSENTHAL, HEVESI -- read once and referred to
          the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions
        AN ACT in relation to directing the metropolitan transportation authori-
          ty  to  study  and  report  on  the  feasibility of rehabilitating the
          Lefferts Boulevard Bridge
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  The metropolitan transportation authority shall conduct a
     2  study to examine the feasibility and impact of the rehabilitation of the
     3  Lefferts Boulevard Bridge. Such study shall focus on the costs and bene-
     4  fits of such rehabilitation and shall include, but not be limited to the
     5  following issues:
     6    (a) all feasible alternatives to demolishing the bridge;
     7    (b) the economic impact of all such alternatives;
     8    (c) the economic impact to surrounding businesses  if  such  rehabili-
     9  tation does not occur.
    10    § 2. On March 1, 2019, the chairman of the metropolitan transportation
    11  authority shall submit a written report to the governor, temporary pres-
    12  ident  of  the  senate, speaker of the assembly and mayor of the city of
    13  New York, with the findings and recommendations of the  study  conducted
    14  pursuant to section one of this act.
    15    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
