STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 10153 IN ASSEMBLY May 4, 2022 ___________ Introduced by COMMITTEE ON RULES -- (at request of M. of A. Sillitti) -- (at request of the Department of Labor) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Labor AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to authorizing the department of labor to use electronic storage technology to store public records, papers, documents and matters required by law to be recorded The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 35 of the labor law, as added by 2 chapter 138 of the laws of 1991, is amended to read as follows: 3 1. The department is authorized and empowered to use [optical disc] 4 electronic storage technology to record and maintain public records, 5 papers, documents or matters required by law to be recorded. Such 6 records shall be capable of being copied, photographed, or microphoto- 7 graphed by a process which accurately reproduces the original thereof in 8 all details. 9 § 2.
