       AN ACT to amend the public officers law, in relation to certain residen-
         cy requirements
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 3-b of the public officers law is amended by adding
    2  a new subdivision 7 to read as follows:
    3    7. NEITHER THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION OR OF ANY  GENERAL,  SPECIAL
    4  OR  LOCAL LAW, CHARTER, CODE, ORDINANCE, RESOLUTION, RULE OR REGULATION,
    5  REQUIRING A PERSON TO BE A RESIDENT  OF  THE  POLITICAL  SUBDIVISION  OR
    6  MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE STATE FOR WHICH HE OR SHE SHALL BE EMPLOYED
    7  OR  APPOINTED OR WITHIN WHICH HIS OR HER OFFICIAL FUNCTIONS ARE REQUIRED
    8  TO BE EXERCISED, SHALL APPLY TO A PERSON WHO IS A MEMBER OF THE SECURITY
    9  FORCE EMPLOYED OR APPOINTED BY KALEIDA HEALTH AS DESCRIBED  IN  SUBDIVI-
   10  SION  EIGHTY-THREE  OF  SECTION  2.10  OF  THE  CRIMINAL  PROCEDURE LAW,
   11  PROVIDED THAT SUCH PERSON RESIDES IN THE COUNTY IN WHICH  SUCH  SECURITY
   12  FORCE  OF  KALEIDA  HEALTH  IS LOCATED OR AN ADJOINING COUNTY WITHIN THE
   13  STATE.  THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBDIVISION SHALL ONLY APPLY TO A  PERSON
   14  WHO  IS A MEMBER OF THE SECURITY FORCE EMPLOYED BY KALEIDA HEALTH ON THE
   15  EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS SUBDIVISION.
   16    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
