          on Tourism, Parks, Arts and Sports Development
        AN ACT to amend the arts and cultural affairs law, in relation to chang-
          ing New York state history month from November to October
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  Subdivision  1  of section 57.02 of the arts and cultural
     2  affairs law, as added by chapter 113 of the laws of 1997, is amended  to
     3  read as follows:
     4    1.  Each  month  of [November] October following the effective date of
     5  [this section] the chapter of the laws of  two  thousand  eighteen  that
     6  amended  this  subdivision shall be designated as New York state history
     7  month.
     8    § 2. This at shall take effect immediately.
         EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
                              [ ] is old law to be omitted.
