GIGLIO -- read once and referred to the Committee on Environmental Conservation -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to adding certain bodies of water to the definition of "inland waterways" for purposes of water-front revitalization THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 4 of section 911 of the executive law, as 2 amended by chapter 166 of the laws of 2011, paragraph (b) as separately 3 amended by chapter 348 of the laws of 2011, is amended to read as 4 follows: 5 4. "Inland waterways" shall mean (a) the state's major inland lakes 6 consisting of lakes Big Tupper, Black, Canandaigua, Cayuga, Champlain, 7 Chautauqua, Conesus, Cranberry, George, Great Sacandaga, Honoeye, Indi- 8 an, Keuka, Long, Mirror, Oneida, Onondaga, Otisco, Otsego, Owasco, Plac- 9 id, Raquette, Ronkonkoma, Sacandaga, Saratoga, Schroon, Seneca, Skanea- 10 teles, Silver (in the county of Wyoming) and Saranac, and the Fulton 11 chain of lakes; (b) the state's major rivers comprised of the ALLEGHENY, 12 Ausable, Black, Boquet, Canisteo, Chaumont (including Chaumont bay), 13 Chemung, Cohocton, Delaware, Deer, Genesee, Grasse, Hudson north of the 14 federal dam at Troy, Indian, Little (in the Adirondack park), Little 15 Salmon (including north and south branches), Mad, Mettowee, Mohawk, 16 Oswegatchie, Racquette, Sacandaga, Salmon, Saranac, Susquehanna, Tioga, 17 Tioughnioga and Wallkill rivers, and the north and middle branches of 18 the Moose river; (c) the state's major creeks comprised of the Bushkill, 19 CATTARAUGUS, Cincinnati, East Kill, Esopus (including upper and lower 20 branches), Fish (including east and west branches), Gooseberry, Little 21 Sandy, Onondaga, Sandy, Schoharie, South Sandy, Oatka and Tonawanda and 22 West Kill; (d) the Barge Canal System as defined in section two of the 23 canal law; and (e) the adjacent shorelands to the extent that such 24 inland waters and adjacent lands are strongly influenced by each other 25 including, but not limited to, islands, wetlands, beaches, dunes, barri- 26 er islands, cliffs, bluffs and erosion prone areas. 27 S 2.
