          Committee on Local Governments

        AN ACT to amend the county law, in relation to authorizing Niagara coun-
          ty to waive certain fees by local law for veterans' organizations

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1. The county law is amended by adding a new section 226-e to
     2  read as follows:
     3    § 226-e. Waiver of fees for veterans' organizations. The Niagara coun-
     4  ty legislature is hereby authorized to waive fees by local law,  includ-
     5  ing  but  not limited to building permit review fees and fees associated
     6  with capital improvements to any post or hall owned by a  not-for-profit
     7  congressionally chartered veterans' organization located in such county.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
