DUPREY -- read once and referred to the Committee on Education AN ACT in relation to state aid for the Saranac central school district THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding the fact that the Saranac central school 2 district was in session for less than 180 days in the 2014-2015 school 3 year, due to no fault of its own, the commissioner of education is 4 authorized to disregard the reduction of state aid required pursuant to 5 section 3604 of the education law and shall pay such school district its 6 apportionment as if the school district had been in session for the 7 required 180 days. 8 S 2.
