STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 8012 2021-2022 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY June 4, 2021 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. MEEKS -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Employees AN ACT making an appropriation to pay to the children of the late David F. Gantt, member of the Assembly from the 137th Assembly District, the balance due of his unpaid annual compensation for a portion of the year 2020 The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The sum of fifty thousand seven hundred sixty-nine dollars 2 and twenty-two cents ($50,769.22) is hereby appropriated out of any 3 moneys in the general fund of the state treasury to the credit of the 4 state purposes account not otherwise appropriated, for payment to Kath- 5 leen A. Hope, Troy C. Hightower and Troy E. Sizer, the children of the 6 late David F. Gantt, who died on the first day of July, 2020, for the 7 balance due of the unpaid annual compensation which would have been 8 earned by him had he continued to live and serve as such member of the 9 assembly from the 137th Assembly District until the 31st day of Decem- 10 ber, 2020. The amount hereby appropriated shall be payable to Kathleen 11 A. Hope, Troy C. Hightower and Troy E. Sizer on the audit and warrant 12 of the comptroller on a voucher certified or approved in the manner 13 prescribed by law. 14 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
