STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 7618--A 2021-2022 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY May 19, 2021 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. SALKA -- read once and referred to the Committee on Education -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT relating to legalizing, validating, ratifying and confirming a transportation contract of the Oneonta city school district The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken 2 or caused to be had and taken by the Oneonta City School District and by 3 all officers, employees or agents of such school district relating to or 4 in connection with transportation contracts E414441 and E414438 of the 5 2019-2020 school year, and all acts incidental hereto are hereby legal- 6 ized, validated, ratified and confirmed, notwithstanding any failure to 7 comply with the contract award, approval and filing provisions of the 8 education law, the general municipal law or any other law or any other 9 statutory authority, rule or regulation, other than those filing 10 provisions defined in paragraph a of subdivision 5 of section 3604 of 11 the education law, in relation to any omission, error, defect, irreg- 12 ularity or illegality in such proceeding had and taken. 13 § 2. The department of education is hereby directed to consider the 14 aforementioned contract for transportation aid as valid and proper obli- 15 gations of the Oneonta City School District. 16 § 3.
