        Introduced  by  M.  of  A.  WILLIAMS -- (at request of the Department of
          Environmental Conservation) -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Environmental Conservation

        AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
          extending  the  authority of the department of environmental conserva-
          tion to manage blueback herring

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Paragraph  g of subdivision 1 of section 13-0339-a of the
     2  environmental conservation law, as amended by section 1  of  item  I  of
     3  subpart  A  of part XXX of chapter 58 of the laws of 2020, is amended to
     4  read as follows:
     5    g. blueback herring (Alosa aestivalis)  until  December  thirty-first,
     6  two thousand [twenty-three] twenty-six,
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
