        Introduced  by  M.  of  A.  GOTTFRIED  --  read once and referred to the
          Committee on Health -- committee  discharged,  bill  amended,  ordered
          reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee

        AN  ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to telehealth deliv-
          ery of services by physical therapy and occupational  therapy  assist-
          ants, chiropractors and mental health practitioners

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Paragraphs (l), (m),  (x)  and  (y)  of  subdivision  2  of
     2  section  2999-cc  of the public health law, paragraph (l) as amended and
     3  paragraph (m) as added by chapter 454 of the laws  of  2015,  paragraphs
     4  (x)  and (y) as amended by section 3 of part F of chapter 57 of the laws
     5  of 2021, are amended and a  new  paragraph  (z)  is  added  to  read  as
     6  follows:
     7    (l)  a  physical therapist licensed and a physical therapist assistant
     8  certified pursuant to article one hundred thirty-six  of  the  education
     9  law;
    10    (m)  an  occupational  therapist and an occupational therapy assistant
    11  licensed pursuant to article one hundred fifty-six of the education law;
    12    (x) certified peer recovery advocate services providers  certified  by
    13  the  commissioner of addiction services and supports pursuant to section
    14  19.18-b of the mental hygiene law, peer providers  credentialed  by  the
    15  commissioner  of  addiction services and supports and peers certified or
    16  credentialed by the office of mental health; [and]
    17    (y) a chiropractor licensed pursuant to article one hundred thirty-two
    18  of the education law;
    19    (z) a mental health practitioner  licensed  pursuant  to  article  one
    20  hundred sixty-three of the education law; and
    21    (aa)  any other provider as determined by the commissioner pursuant to
    22  regulation or, in consultation with the commissioner, by the commission-
    23  er of the office of mental health, the commissioner  of  the  office  of

     1  addiction  services  and supports, or the commissioner of the office for
     2  people with developmental disabilities pursuant to regulation.
     3    §  2.  This  act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall
     4  have become a law.
