       AN  ACT  to amend the mental hygiene law, in relation to prohibiting the
         dissemination of certain personal information
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  The mental hygiene law is amended by adding a new section
    2  7.14 to read as follows:
    3  S 7.14 PROHIBIT DISSEMINATION OF CERTAIN PERSONAL INFORMATION.
    4    PERSONAL INFORMATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NAMES,  ADDRESSES,
    5  CHILDREN  AND BANK ACCOUNTS, SHALL NOT BE DISSEMINATED OR MADE AVAILABLE
    6  FOR PUBLIC REVIEW WHEN SUCH INFORMATION RELATES TO A PETITION FOR  GUAR-
    7  DIANSHIP.
    8    S  2.  This  act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall
    9  have become a law.
