       AN ACT to direct the public service commission to  amend  the  New  York
         state codes, rules and regulations relating to length of flow lines to
         be exempt from the safety requirements
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. The public service  commission  is  hereby  authorized  and
    2  directed  to  amend paragraph (6) of subdivision (d) of section 255.1 of
    3  the New York state codes, rules and regulations to exempt flow lines  of
    4  less   than  twenty-five  feet  from  the  minimum  safety  requirements
    5  prescribed in title 16 of the New York  state  codes,  rules  and  regu-
    6  lations.
    7    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
