       AN ACT in relation to the enforceability of certain electronic  commerce
         transactions
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any other law, rule or  regulation  to  the
    2  contrary,  a  contract entered into for the sale of goods via electronic
    3  commerce shall not give grounds for a cause  of  action  for  breach  of
    4  contract  if  the  website of the business furnishing such goods through
    5  which such transaction was made did not provide at the time of  purchase
    6  an  accurate  business  address  and  landline telephone number at which
    7  consumers could contact such business.
    8    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
