PERRY -- read once and referred to the Committee on Consumer Affairs and Protection AN ACT in relation to the enforceability of certain electronic commerce transactions THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other law, rule or regulation to the 2 contrary, a contract entered into for the sale of goods via electronic 3 commerce shall not give grounds for a cause of action for breach of 4 contract if the website of the business furnishing such goods through 5 which such transaction was made did not provide at the time of purchase 6 an accurate business address and landline telephone number at which 7 consumers could contact such business. 8 S 2.
