        AN  ACT  to  amend  the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to allowing
          severely disabled individuals to renew parking permits without provid-
          ing updated medical records

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Section 1203-a of the vehicle and traffic law is amended by
     2  adding a new subdivision 1-a to read as follows:
     3    1-a. Any resident of New York state who is a severely disabled person,
     4  as  defined  in  subdivision four of section four hundred four-a of this
     5  chapter, shall not be required to provide updated medical  records  upon
     6  application for renewal of a permit issued pursuant to this section.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
