        AN  ACT  to amend the general city law, in relation to allowing the city
          of Beacon to sell its excess sewage capacity to  private  corporations
          and individuals outside of the city limits

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1.  Section 57 of the general city law, as amended by  chapter
     2  1046 of the laws of 1981, subdivision 1 as amended by chapter 222 of the
     3  laws  of 2020 and subdivision 2 as amended by chapter 419 of the laws of
     4  2019, is amended to read as follows:
     5    § 57. Article limited. 1. This article shall not apply to any  of  the
     6  following  cities:  New York, Binghamton, Schenectady, Elmira, [Beacon,]
     7  Hornell, Olean, Poughkeepsie and Cortland.
     8    2. This article, with the exception of  section  fifty-six-a  thereof,
     9  shall not apply to the city of Glens Falls [and], the city of Middletown
    10  and the city of Beacon.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
