          tee on People with Disabilities

        AN ACT to require the office for people with developmental  disabilities
          to  establish  the  care  demonstration program; and providing for the
          repeal of such provisions upon the expiration thereof

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. (a) The commissioner of the office for people with develop-
     2  mental  disabilities  shall establish the care demonstration program, to
     3  utilize the state workforce to provide community based care to  individ-
     4  uals with developmental disabilities.
     5    (b)  The  services  provided  by  such  care demonstration program may
     6  include, but shall not be limited to:
     7    (i) community habilitation;
     8    (ii) in-home respite;
     9    (iii) pathways to employment;
    10    (iv) supported employment (SEMP); and
    11    (v) community prevocational services.
    12    § 2. The commissioner of the  office  for  people  with  developmental
    13  disabilities  shall  promulgate  all  rules and regulations necessary to
    14  implement the provisions of this act.
    15    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately and shall  expire  and  be
    16  deemed repealed March 31, 2024.
