       AN ACT to authorize approval of a certain transportation contract of the
         Whitehall central school district
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  All acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken or
    2  caused to be had and taken by the Whitehall central school district  and
    3  by  all  officers, employees and agents of such school district relating
    4  to or in connection with transportation contract number C260112 for  the
    5  2007-2008 school year, which provided transportation to and from the New
    6  York  state  school  for  the  blind in Batavia, and all acts incidental
    7  thereto  are  hereby  legalized,  validated,  ratified  and   confirmed,
    8  notwithstanding  any  failure  to comply with the contract award, award,
    9  approval and filing provisions of the education law, the general munici-
   10  pal law, any other law or any other statutory authority, rule  or  regu-
   11  lation,  other  than  those  filing provisions defined in paragraph a of
   12  subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the education law, in relation  to  any
   13  omission,  error, defect, irregularity or illegality in such proceedings
   14  had or taken.
   15    S 2. The education department  is  hereby  directed  to  consider  the
   16  aforementioned contract for transportation aid as valid and proper obli-
   17  gations of the Whitehall central school district.
   18    S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
